Overview
Einbürgerungstest Schweiz helps people prepare for Swiss naturalization tests. This policy explains which data the app processes and which data we deliberately avoid collecting.
Data stored on your device
Study-related data is stored locally on your device in SQLite. This includes:
This data does not leave your device. If you uninstall the app, it is deleted.
- Study progress and question history
- Bookmarks
- Settings such as canton, language, and exam date
- Study streak data and practice test results
Translation feature
The optional translation feature sends only the question text and answer options to our server on Cloudflare Workers. The content is then forwarded to Google Gemini for translation.
Translations may be cached in Cloudflare KV so repeated requests can be served efficiently. No personal information is included in those requests.
Analytics
To improve the app, we collect anonymous product analytics with PostHog in the EU, such as study sessions started, questions answered, or screens viewed.
This data is not tied to your identity. We do not collect your name or email address through analytics.
Rate limiting
To protect the translation service, we apply short-lived IP-based rate limiting. IP addresses are not stored beyond that limited window.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or registration
- No advertising
- No sale of personal data
- No website cookies
Third-party services
- PostHog (EU) for anonymous product analytics
- Cloudflare Workers & KV for the translation API and cache
- Google Gemini API for AI-powered translations
